Hyundai India has listed the upcoming Ioniq 5 EV on its official website. Customers can now register their interest and the car will be launched in the second half of this year.

The Ioniq 5 looks, unlike any other Hyundai. It has clean angular surfaces with lots of creases. It has dual LED headlamps and pixelated LED tail lights, flush-fitting door handles and unique dual-tone alloys. The interior also looks pretty unconventional. It has dual floating screens and a 2-spoke steering wheel.

The Ioniq 5 is based on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Globally, the car is offered with two battery options: 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, offering up to 480 km of range (WLTP cycle).

The base version is powered by a single electric motor which has an output of 165 BHP and 350 Nm. The dual-motor version packs 298 BHP and 605 Nm and is said to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
